Ulises Flynn For Bluffdale

Bluffdale is a great place to live that has grown tremendously over the past 8 years since my family and I moved into the City. As your representative in the City Council I will work with the City Council and Mayor to:

• Make sure that vital services like Fire and Police are properly funded from stable recurring revenue sources. We cannot afford to have gaps in these areas for our citizens.
• Support projects and zoning that align with the City's General Plan and vision for economic growth. As a growing city in Salt Lake County, we cannot ignore our opportunities for driving the direction of that growth.
• Support the state's affordable housing mandates in finding solutions to enable more affordable housing to be available in Bluffdale.
• Be mindful of our budget and use of taxpayers funds. I will support using taxpayer money to fund the basic services that City should provide: Fire, Police, roads/infrastructure, permitting. I fully support the austerity measures that the City took this year to meet the budget shortfall caused by lack of increased tax revenue.
• Maintain a focus on blending Bluffdale's agricultural heritage with the new growth. I believe we can preserve our City's heritage while still embracing future growth.
• Listen to Citizen's viewpoints, ideas and concerns. As an elected official it's crucial for me to represent the citizens of Bluffdale and will always make myself available to listen to you.

Ulises Flynn is a dedicated community leader with 8 years of residency in Bluffdale. He values blending existing and new growth and has been actively engaged in various community capacities, currently serving as a Planning Commissioner. Ulises's experience includes listening to residents and working collaboratively with the commission members and city staff.

As a City Council candidate, Ulises envisions a vibrant and sustainable future, balancing development with preserving small-town charm and protecting natural beauty.

His priorities include advocating for robust infrastructure, growth in Police and Fire departments, and fiscally-minded maintenance of roadways. He aims to attract businesses aligned with the city's values, using data-driven approaches to identify suitable development locations.

Ulises values community engagement and seeks open communication and active participation in decision-making processes. Having attended various city meetings before being on the Planning Commission, he appreciates engaging with residents to shape Bluffdale's vision.

Ulises is married to Kristal Flynn, and they have 4 beautiful children that keep them busy. Currently, Ulises works as an Engineering Manager for Weave in Lehi and has 16 years of experience as a Software Engineer.
